The Treemont Hotel
Set across the street from the
Fountain County Jail, and in its day, was located conveniently just up the hill from the
railroad depot.
It burned in 1991.
1950's Volunteer Fire Dept.

1980 Tornado Damage
In June of 1980 a tornado slammed Covington. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. But, it made a big mess and altered the downtown square by severly damaging one of the landmark buildings.
